since the end of august 2021, choreographer and artist claudia bosse has been working together with artistic accomplices on fragmentary articulations of the paris commune of 1871. in different places, wastelands, (urban) landscapes, she expands the community of the commune to include non-human communards and speculates together with them into time(s). the fragments are created with the support of stones, wind, earth, water, bones. between february 11th and 13th the fragments, videos, texts, actions, motifs, materials created until then will spread out in the spaces of neues KAP1 and gather as a collective to form a multimedia landscape. this landscape is altered, activated by performances, choreographies, texts and sounds, which are created together with the composer günther auer, the performers mariana senne, mun wai lee, veronique alain, brigitta schirdewahn and city dwellers. the ghosts of the commune speak to walls, the floor, bones and through the words of revolutionary auguste blanqui as well as others, erecting barricades and searching for traces of the leftist myth of self-organization in the future of cities and landscapes. an immersive experience as an archaeological happening in a changing expansive installation.
commune 1-73 is claudia bosses artistic answer to the international urban laboratory of the FFT düsseldorf place international - the 73 days of the commune or the long wave of the revolution. until may 29, 2022 she will design a total of 73 fragments to the paris commune.. fragments published so far
