by the end of may 2022, I commit myself to creating 73 fragments around the commune.
73 steps towards the French commune or 73 steps away from the commune.
approaching or moving away.
one thing is certain: commune 1-73 will become an assembly!
an assembly of 73 parts, fragments or possibilities.
commune 1-73 spins collaborations and different constellations with artists, experts and contributors in 73 parts.
perhaps commune 1-73 is a space of possibility for dealing with texts, events, concerns of the 73 days of the paris commune 1871, as well as a space for research, methods and at the same time for encounters, occurrences, urgencies invitations or performative and visual experiments with complicators in different places. conversations, lectures, texts, images, videos, objects or larger performative attempts can emerge. 73 fragments are not equivalent to days. several fragments can be created in one day or one can be created over several days.
commune 1-73 is a framework for ideas, concerns or assumptions between 150 years of rebellion, women's rights, ecologies, violence, imaginations of other communities and spaces in different cities, places, spaces, landscapes formulated in different formats.
at the same time, commune 1-73 is also a space to expose oneself to exactly what can happen, one does not yet know what will happen to one in the process, or in other words: it is about keeping a reaction space open in order to be affected by events, people, environments, experiences, perspectives.
